Lupus Program

Building on the groundbreaking research led by Dr. John Reveille and the LUMINA investigators, the UTHealth Lupus Program is committed to providing patient-centered, state-of-the-art care for patients affected by systemic lupus erythematosus. Our rheumatologists are board certified and bring in expertise from top training settings. Our inter-disciplinary care team is comprised of faculty members at the McGovern Medical School who help support the approach to caring for these patients.

The heart of our program includes the hundreds of patients with lupus who we serve and care for over their lifetimes. We are building a clinical research cohort of lupus patients in order to better understand the pathogenesis, treatment and outcomes of this complex disease.
