Brittany L. Coughlin, a student in Dr. John Byrne’s laboratory within the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, has been selected to receive the Roberta M. and Jean M. Worsham Endowed Scholarship in the Behavioral Sciences.
This award is provided by the Worsham family to reward and to encourage students whose research has significant impact on the area of behavioral neuroscience. Ms. Coughlin was selected from a highly competitive field of over 80 applicants for this Scholarship based on exceptional work on improving cognitive deficits in individuals with Coffin-Lowry syndrome.
Ms. Coughlin will be honored at the GSBS Scholarship Award luncheon scheduled for February 19, 2014.
