Neurosciences to host Epilepsy symposium
UTHealth Houston Neurosciences will host the Epilepsy Comprehensive Update and Board Review across May 8-9 at the Westin Houston Medical Center (1709 Dryden Rd.).
The Epilepsy Comprehensive Update & Board Review is an educational symposium whose aim is to educate neurologists, APPs, neurology residents, and epilepsy fellows involved in the treatment of patients with epilepsy. The course is designed to expand attendees’ knowledge and understanding of epilepsy and will demonstrate how to offer top-quality epilepsy care to patients.
The event will include a series of lectures designed to prepare attendees for the epilepsy boards. Some of the highlights of the symposium include:
- Focused lectures on all aspects of epilepsy care, including pharmacologic therapies, diagnostic testing, and surgical therapies.
- Discussion of etiology and electroclinical syndromes in both adult and pediatric patients.
- A lecture and discussion around SUDEP.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Antidote Education Company and UTHealth Houston Neurosciences.
