Expert Clubfoot Care by Pediatric Orthopedic Specialists

Why us?

  • Care led by fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeons
  • Commitment to the Ponseti method of manipulation and serial casting
  • Multidisciplinary care model for best outcomes
  • Multiple locations throughout Greater Houston

As part of our Pediatric Orthopedics division, the Clubfoot Program at UTHealth Houston delivers specialized, patient-centered care led by fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and pediatric-specific physical therapists with extensive experience managing congenital and complex foot deformities.

Our provider team carefully works through all aspects of diagnosis, treatment planning, manipulation and casting, bracing, and close coordination with a network of pediatric specialists. This multidisciplinary approach supports the child and family through every phase of care by routinely collaborating with:

  • Maternal-fetal medicine and neonatology teams for prenatal and early-life planning
  • Pediatric physical therapists to help maintain foot correction and accelerate global motor milestones
  • Pediatric orthotists for standard and custom bracing solutions
  • Pediatric neurology and neurosurgery, when needed, for patients with related medical complexities

Our surgical team follows the principles of the Ponseti method, using manipulation and serial casting to optimize outcomes and avoid invasive procedures when possible. Each treatment plan is carefully tailored to meet the unique needs of the child and their family.

We welcome referrals for patients of any age with idiopathic or syndromic clubfoot and are committed to maintaining close communication with referring providers throughout the course of care.
