How do I apply?

  • Applications for PGY-1 positions are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service.
  • Initial interview offers will be sent out on the unified release date for pathology residency programs, October 18, 2024 (with rolling offers to follow).
  • Applicants seeking transfer after training in another US pathology program should contact the program manager.

What is the application deadline?

  • Our application deadline is December 31.

When do you interview?

  • We interview from October through January. This year we are conducting virtual interviews only, with interviews scheduled Monday through Wednesday.

How do I find out the status of my application?

  • If you are invited to interview, you will receive an invitation via email through the Thalamus residency interview system.

How many positions do you offer?

  • We have 28 accredited residency positions, typically six to eight first year positions are offered.

I am currently on an H1-B visa. Will your program allow me to transfer it for training?

Do you offer observerships?

  • We allow a very limited number of observers to participate in an organized 4 week long AP/CP rotation. Interested candidates should submit a CV, letter of intent and USMLE transcript to [email protected]
  • Individual faculty members are unable to accept rotating observers at this time.
