Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital was presented a $30,000 gift from Men of Distinction toward Dr. Charles S. Cox, Jr.’s pediatric research efforts.  Dr. Cox, who was recently recognized for his work at the 2013 Men of Distinction Award luncheon, is the co-director of Memorial Hermann’s Texas Trauma Institute and directs the Pediatric Trauma Program at UTHealth and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. In his position, Dr. Cox is focused on treating children with traumatic brain injuries and neurological issues; the donation will benefit his latest research of stem cell treatment for traumatic brain injury.
