Lisa is from sunny Florida. She graduated from the Texas Heart Institute School of Perfusion where she found a love for the failing heart and mechanical circulatory devices. Lisa has been the adult ECMO coordinator and serves as the coordinator for cardiogenic shock and Life Flight® for the Center for Advanced Heart Failure at UTHealth Medical School at Houston since 2012. She is also an active clinician, where she works among a large multidisciplinary team caring for adult heart failure patients and patients needing ECMO therapy. Lisa is part of the founding partnership with Memorial Hermann Life Flight® with transport of ECMO patients. In addition, she serves as a clinical instructor for the UTHealth School of Perfusion. Lisa is involved in ECMO research and publication. She loves her involvement with ELSO and the Award for Excellence in Life Support Scoring Committee since 2018.
Outside of the hospital, her interests include traveling, watching football rivalry, reading, tennis, and dance.
