Health Career Collaborative

The Health Career Collaborative is designed to foster mentorship and encourage first-generation high school students to consider healthcare careers. Throughout the year, McGovern Medical School students host monthly sessions at their respective schools. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, from medical specialties to healthcare pathways.

      • The purpose is to expose high school students to various health professions, diseases/disorders, public health issues, etc.
      • The program is designed to bring life to the possibilities of further studies and careers in medicine and the allied health sciences

Activities include, but are not limited to:

      • Airway intubation workshops
      • Suturing skills workshops
      • Ultrasound workshops
      • Career exploration activities
      • And more!
