Why Team Care?

August 9, 2013

The diagnosis and treatment of cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies is best managed by a group of dedicated specialists who treat a sufficient number of patients to recognize the complexities and long term outcomes of their care.

When these specialists are part of a team, they are accustomed to working together and respect the unique contributions each offers in the assessment and treatment of your child. Collaboration between the medical, dental and ancillary specialists assures proper sequencing of care and follow-up.  This coordinated care achieves better results at a lower cost.

Our team was formed in 1952 and has a long term track record of excellent results.  Each member is a recognized expert in their own specialty before being invited to join the craniofacial team where they gain expertise in the care and treatment of patients with craniofacial anomalies.

The overall goal of our team is to achieve the best possible appearance for your child including smile, profile, speech, hearing, breathing, dentition and self-image.
