Kim-Loan Luu, MA, CCC-SLP serves as the primary speech-language pathologist for the Texas Cleft-Craniofacial team. Areas of professional interest include resonance disorders, articulation disorders, and dysphagia. She participates in cleft team research and has provided inpatient and outpatient care for Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital since 2006. She evaluates speech, language, resonance and swallowing through clinical evaluations, standardized testing, videofluoroscopic imaging, and endoscopic imaging. Her interest in cleft care began early, as she was born with cleft lip and palate and received all of her care here in Houston. She has provided graduate level lectures for several local universities. She is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA) and the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association’s (ASHA) Special Interest Group 5, Craniofacial and Velopharyngeal Disorders. She enjoys playing the piano, singing and spending time with her husband and three children.
