Adding YouTube videos

YouTube videos may be embedded to any post or page. With an upcoming update of the WordPress version number, the method to embed a YouTube video will change.

Embedding a new video

  1. Using the Visual tab in the Editor box, type [youtube video_id=“AbCdEFG”] (make sure you are using square brackets).
  2. Go to the YouTube page which has the video to be embedded. Look at the browser address field, and select and copy the text string after the equal sign.

  3. Replace AbCdEFG with the copied text string.

The embedded video does not appear in the Dashboard area, so you must update the page, then view it live.
