Biography

Dr. Aamir Abbas is board certified and fellowship trained, and he is focused on providing  personalized and compassionate care for each patient. His practice philosophy emphasizes spending time with his patients, listening to their story and educating them about their condition. As part of his collaborative approach to care, he believes that involving patients and their loved ones is the key to improving outcomes for cardiovascular health.

Dr. Abbas is an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). He joined the Department of Advanced Cardiopulmonary Therapies and Transplantation after finishing his training in the Texas Medical Center.

After moving to Cypress, TX more than a decade ago, Dr. Abbas enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, relaxing by the water, and perfecting his BBQ skills. He is married with two young children.
