Biography

Jason is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with the Center of Advanced Heart Failure at Memorial Hermann Heart and Vascular Institute – TMC. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 and spent the former portion of his nursing career working in variable intensive care settings including CVICU, transplant, and level I trauma ICU as a Certified Critical Care Nurse. After relocating to Houston, he worked in the CCU and later as a nurse manager in Cardiology services at Ben Taub General Hospital while he obtained his Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He joined the Advanced Practice Provider team with the Center of Advanced Heart Failure in 2021 where he manages complex patients with advanced heart failure. His clinical interests include the management of patients with structural heart disease, left ventricular assist devices (LVADs), and heart transplantation. He is dedicated to improving patients’ quality of life by engaging them in their plan of care. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and two dogs.
