Biography

Dr. Randhawa has earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Government Medical College, Amritsar, Punjab, India. He underwent internal medicine residency training at Cleveland Clinic, following which he worked as Hospitalist managing general medicine patients at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Randhawa decided to pursue his career further and did vascular medicine training at Cleveland Clinic. He went to Michigan State University for training in General Cardiology and sub-specialized in interventional cardiology. He is also specialized in advanced interventional procedures and structural heart disease.

Dr. Randhawa is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Also, board-certified, by the American society of echocardiography, board-certified in nuclear cardiology by the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Randhawa is primarily managing patients with cardiovascular disease, his particular interest includes managing complex coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, and valvular heart diseases. His philosophy is to develop good patient-physician relations by listening to the patients and providing compassionate care.

Dr. Randhawa is involved in clinical research and has published numerous papers in the field of cardiology. He was an assistant professor at Michigan State University and Western Michigan University before moving to Houston. Currently, Dr. Randhawa is an Assistant Professor at McGovern Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.  He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Society for cardiovascular angiography and interventions, and the American College of Physicians.
