Rotations & Schedule
Rotations (typically divided into 2-week blocks):
Four (4) weeks each
- Acute Care for Elders (ACE) Unit Inpatient
- Geriatric Medicine Consult
- Wound Care
- Nursing Home, Skilled Nursing Facility, Medical Directorship, Hospice
- Elder Capacity Assessment & Mistreatment (ECAM) / Texas Elder Abuse and Mistreatment Institute (TEAM)
- Neurology – Cognitive Impairment & Movement Disorders (2 weeks each)
- Congestive Heart Failure
- Urology & Gynecology (2 weeks each)
- Elective
Longitudinal Clinic Experiences (1x/month)
- Settegast Clinic
- Center for Healthy Aging Clinic
- House Calls
- Nursing Home
- Osteoporosis (1x/every other month – 5-6 times per year)
