USB Drives
All USB drives and Portable Hard Drives must be encrypted. The following products have been approved for purchase and use at the Medical School:

USB-C based portable hard drive. Unlocks from a phone app using your phone’s biometric authentication, or from your computer. Compatible with Windows, Mac, Android or iOS devices. 256 bit AES-XTS hardware encryption, 3 meter drop protection, 1000 pound crush protection, IP67 dust and water resistance. Available in 1 tb, 2 tb, and 4 tb sizes.

Keypad-based encrypted USB thumb/flash drive – available in 8 gb, 16 gb, 32 gb and larger sizes. Can be used on older Windows 7 based computers that are unable to accept other approved devices.
