Apple Leasing Options

Overview

The Medical School Office of Information Technology (MSIT) in collaboration with the Medical School User Desktop Support Advisory Committee defines every three months the computer configurations that are available via the Medical School Leasing Program.

Available Leasing Options

Contact your LAN Manager regarding leasing (or purchasing) of Apple computers.

Apple iPads: Apple iPads cannot be purchased using University funds and will not be supported by MSIT. Consult your LAN Manager regarding Apple iPad purchases to be made with other forms of funding.

Lease Rates: All Apple computer leases are set to 36 months (3 years). Note that the lease rate is based upon the yield to maturity of U.S. Treasury bonds. Thus, leasing rates may increase slightly if U.S Treasury notes maturing in three years exceed the current rate at the time of the lease.
