Marybeth Keiser Farazdaghi is an assistant professor in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. After earning a bachelor’s degree in music from the Manhattan School of Music, Dr. Keiser Farazdaghi earned her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Keiser Farazdaghi completed her internship in internal medicine and her residency in ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic. She received multiple awards for her work as a resident, including the John A. Dyer, MD, Award in 2023.
Dr. Keiser Farazdaghi completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. She was an instructor of ophthalmology as a chief resident in Mayo Clinic’s Department of Ophthalmology before joining the faculty at McGovern Medical School.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and its sustainability taskforce, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, EyeSustain, and the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health and its steering committee.
Physicians at the Robert Cizik Eye Clinic engage referring physicians in the care of their patients, keeping them informed about patient progress throughout the evaluation and treatment process. After a patient’s treatment, referring physicians receive a summary and a plan for follow-up. Our physicians encourage continued communication about each patient.
