About Our Clinic for Patients
Patients come to The Robert Cizik Eye Clinic not only from the greater Houston area and throughout Texas, but also from all across the United States and around the world. The clinic’s affiliation with The University of Texas Medical School at Houston gives patients the benefit of treatment that draws from the Texas Medical Center and its superb research, development of new techniques, and high tech equipment for diagnosis, treatment, surgery and continued therapy.
The ophthalmic sub specialties represented in the Cizik Eye Clinic include ophthalmic plastic, reconstructive and orbital surgery, corneal and external disease, glaucoma, retina and vitreous, pediatric ophthalmology, and neuro-ophthalmology. Collaboration among the sub specialties routinely occurs in the care of complicated eye conditions. This is the practice of ophthalmology at its best. All of the physicians at the Cizik Eye Clinic are faculty members in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. All are board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology and are on the medical staffs of numerous facilities.
In addition to sub specialty care, most of the Cizik Eye Clinic physicians offer comprehensive eye exams that include examinations for glasses and contact lenses. Although we see the most serious problems that involve the eye and visual systems, we welcome general ophthalmic patients.
