Biography

Dr. Kim is the director of cornea and external disease at the Cizik Eye Clinic, where she also specializes in ocular oncology. She holds the Joe M. Green Jr. chair in ophthalmology and is a professor in the Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science.

She graduated from medical school at Harvard University in 1996 and completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in 2000. She completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Utah in 2001.

Before joining the Cizik Eye Clinic, Dr. Kim served as the director of clinical research in ophthalmology for the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Her patients appreciate her compassion, kindness, and expertise with all types of vision issues. She is an experienced surgeon capable of tackling the most difficult cases.

She has earned an American Academy of Ophthalmology fellowship and has been named a Texas Monthly Super Doctor.
