Medical Education

  • McGovern Medical School: Departmental faculty are integral to the education of students at McGovern Medical School. Faculty participate in teaching core lectures to first and second-year students, leading problem-based learning (PBL) groups, and teaching rotating third and fourth-year students.

Residency Programs

  • Pathology Residency Program: Our Residency Program has been in existence since the 1970s. Over the decades, we have proudly trained hundreds of pathologists who have gone on to lead successful careers in both academic and private settings. The department takes a resident-centered approach to education, emphasizing personalized training and mentorship.  We provide a comprehensive four-year program with robust training in anatomic and clinical pathology. The program focuses on developing skilled pathologists through diverse rotations, hands-on experience, and research opportunities.

Fellowship Programs

Continuing Medical Education (CME)

  • CME Programs: Workshops, seminars, and conferences are provided for practicing pathologists to keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
