John A. Harvin, MD, MS, FACS

Biography
Dr. John Harvin is a Professor for the Department of Surgery, Division of Acute Care Surgery at McGovern Medical School.
Dr. Harvin is extremely passionate about the care of his patients. He and his partners provide timely surgery and care to those who need it at any time of day.
Dr. Harvin has received several awards throughout his career including McGovern Medical School Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award for 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. He is an active member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma, the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, and a Fellow for the American College of Surgeons and Southwestern Surgical Congress.
