Biography

Dr. Thomas Newton Jr is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School.

Dr. Newton sees male and female patients who are 16 years of age and older. He enjoys the opportunity to diagnose, treat and discuss complex problems with with his patients, understanding that these issues are often awkward or embarrassing for the patient and/or family to discuss. Dr. Newton takes pride in treating each patient in a respectful manner.

Dr. Newton is a member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, and Texas Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. Dr. Newton has two beautiful teenage daughters who are excellent students and competitive swimmers. He loves talking sports with patients and anyone else who will partake.
