Biography

Amanda Bergeron graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University in 2003 and went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas in 2013. She has been a practicing Acute Care Nurse Practitioner primarily in the heart failure ICU with the heart failure team at Memorial Hermann Hospital since 2014. Amanda has served as adjunct faculty at the University of Texas Cizik School of Nursing and has written several lectures on heart failure and heart transplantation. She has also precepted many nurse practitioner students from Houston area nursing schools. She has received the Top 150 Nurses in Houston award in 2021. Amanda has a special interest in research and has published several articles specific to heart failure and mechanical circulatory support. She has presented her work at both the state and national level. Amanda serves as team lead for the Memorial Hermann Heart Failure Advanced Practice Providers and has led several quality improvement projects. In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
