Biography

Katherine Carr was born and raised in Galveston, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Katherine then obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 2017. She is a member of AAPA and TAPA. She enjoys her career at the Memorial Hermann Texas Heart & Vascular Institute by providing care before and after surgery, in addition to participating in the operating room for patients with cardiovascular disease. She finds the field of advanced cardiopulmonary therapies fascinating which is why she sought out a career with UT Physicians to coordinate the best possible treatment for each patient by working with highly trained physicians and specialized technology.
