Dr. Truong received her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Hanoi College of Pharmacy in Hanoi, Vietnam. She completed her MS program in Epidemiology on a fellowship and became a member of Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health, and later earned her PhD degree in Epidemiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
During her PhD program, she worked as a statistician at the Center for Clinical Research and Evidence-based Medicine, where she collaborated extensively with clinical researchers in observational studies and clinical trials. Dr. Truong’s primary research interest is the application of rigorous research methodology, combining epidemiological concepts/principles and appropriate statistical methods, to produce high-quality clinical and public health research. Her analytical expertise includes Bayesian statistics, multilevel generalized linear modeling, and prediction modeling.
