Biography

Dr. Ryan Brown is an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He earned his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX. He completed his residency training in family medicine at HCA Houston Healthcare West. He then completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at UTHealth Houston before joining on as faculty. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Brown’s clinical interests include non-operative musculoskeletal injury management (fractures, sprains, muscle strains), injury prevention, sports concussion management, endurance sports, and ultrasound guided procedures (cortisone, PRP, orthobiologics).

Dr. Brown currently serves as Team Physician for Cypress Falls High school.
