Welcome to the Department of Family & Community Medicine’s Medical Student Education Program! A successful program in family medicine introduces medical students to the principles of family medicine, while providing the essential clinical skills and training they will find useful in whichever specialty they ultimately decide to pursue. It emphasizes professional development, personal growth, and social responsibility. Our department offers a distinctive opportunity for future physicians to gain these competencies through a diverse program that emphasizes excellence in education and patient care. It includes an innovative curriculum, diverse learning environments, an active Family Medicine Student Association, and a strong mentorship program.
