Parking and Transportation Options

Parking Garage

Closest parking is in the University Center Tower (UCT) garage, floors 2 through 5. For complete list of rates visit the Auxiliary Enterprises parking website.

Address: 7000 Fannin, Suite 150, Houston, TX 77030 (at the intersection of Fannin and Pressler; garage entrance on Pressler)

Directions to the Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM) from the UCT parking garage:

  • Once you park, you need to walk over to the elevators within the garage. Take them down to the first floor (1 with a star next to it, not M for mall).
  • Once you come out of the elevator, you need to head out in the direction of the security guard desk. You will walk out of the UCT building through the glass doors that open automatically to Pressler St.
  • Take a left and walk over to the IMM (orange and green building). You can either walk up the ramp or take the stairs to the two front entrances (glass doors again).
  • The main entrance will be on the left; the auditorium will be the entrance on the right. The doors are heavy glass doors and not automatic.

Houston METRO

The IMM building is located across the street from the Texas Medical Center Transit Center, where bicycle racks are available. To plan your trip here on public transportation check the Houston METRO website.

If driving, you may park along the METRORail line and take the train to the IMM building. Parking is available at the Fannin South Park and Ride, located at 1604 West Bellfort (at Fannin Street, just outside of 610 Loop South), for $3 for the day. Then, hop on the METRORail for $1.25 one-way and exit at the Texas Medical Center Transit Center.
