Biography

Dr. Binsah S. George is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at McGovern Medical School, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She specializes in the treatment of leukemias, as well as molecular alterations associated with the different manifestations of the disease and their association with treatment outcomes. She has similarly conducted research in molecular characteristics associated with non-malignant hematologic neoplasms.

Dr. George received her medical decree from Father Muller’s Institute of Research and Medical Science at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka, India. She completed her residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Her extensive post-graduate training also includes a fellowship in Leukemia at MD Anderson Cancer Center, one in Investigational Cancer Therapeutics at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and one in Hematology-Oncology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology, Dr. George joined McGovern Medical School as an Assistant Professor in 2020. She is also a member of the American Society of Hematology.
