Biography

Dr. George is a specialist in internal medicine and hematology-oncology. She completed a 3-year Internal Medicine training program at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She pursued her training in a hematology-oncology fellowship at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Leukemia fellowship with investigational cancer therapeutics training at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston.

She is licensed in the State of Texas and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Medical Hematology. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, and American Society of Hematology. Dr. George takes an active role in the medical community, participating in multiple scientific meetings. She has authored or co-authored many publications and abstracts and serves as a reviewer for many scientific journals.

Dr. George’s clinical research focuses on the development of early-stage clinical trials for acute leukemias (AML, ALL). Her translational research interests involve the development of novel biological therapies, including monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and immune checkpoint approaches for myeloid leukemias.
