Dr. Nuzha Amjad is a board-certified internist with additional training and board certification in geriatric medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency and geriatrics fellowship at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in Houston, where she subsequently joined the geriatrics faculty. She also serves as the Associate Program Director for the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship. Her clinical responsibilities include taking care of hospitalized older adults on the ACE unit at Memorial Hermann Hospital and being part of the geriatric medicine consult team. Her clinical interests focus on healthy aging, incorporating the principles of preventive medicine and a holistic approach. Dr. Amjad also has a special interest in and focus on falls prevention and the management of osteoporosis among older adults, as well as creating awareness about the importance of healthy bones with aging.
