Biography

Juliet Chijioke, PharmD, is a Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases at Harris Health and an Adjunct Instructor at the Division of Infectious Diseases of the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She also serves as a coordinator for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Harris Health.

Dr. Chijioke received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of the District of Columbia and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She completed her post-graduate year one Pharmacy Practice Residency training at Providence Portland Medical Center, Oregon, and her post-graduate year two Infectious Diseases Residency at Munson Medical Center, Michigan. In her current role, she manages patients’ infectious diseases pharmacotherapy and collaborates with the infectious diseases consult service to optimize therapy for patients. She is also a published author and serves as infectious diseases preceptor for learners and a resource to pharmacy, medical and nursing services.

Passionate about training the next generation of medical professionals, advocating for patients, and improving antimicrobial stewardship, Dr. Chijioke plays a vital role in combating antimicrobial resistance and enhancing patient outcomes. As a coordinator for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Harris Health, she leads initiatives, performs stewardship activities, and engages in quality improvement projects to uphold regulatory standards.
