Biography

Dr. Bowman received her undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University and was awarded her medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University. She then completed her internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Bowman joined UTHealth Houston faculty in the Division of Rheumatology in 2025. She has a strong clinical and research interest in the spondyloarthropathies (axial spondyloarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, IBD-associated spondyloarthritis, and reactive arthritis). She co-directs the Spondyloarthritis Program at UTHealth Houston. Her research is currently funded by the Spondyloarthritis Research and Treatment Network (SPARTAN). She sees patients at the UT Physicians Professional Building and provides inpatient consultation services at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. She is an active member of the American College of Rheumatology and SPARTAN.
