Mahnoor Mir, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Born and raised in Pakistan, Dr. Mir completed her medical training in the United States, including a general surgery internship and internal medicine residency at UT Health San Antonio, followed by fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UTHealth Houston, where she also served as Chief Fellow.
During her medical training, she presented her work at national conferences, including CHEST and ATS, and remains an active member of these professional societies. Her academic and clinical interests include pulmonary hypertension, advanced pulmonary diseases, and the care of critically ill patients. Dr. Mir provides care within the Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center system and participates in resident and fellow teaching within the division. She is committed to excellence in bedside teaching, clinical curriculum development, and mentorship of trainees. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, engaging in outdoor activities, and spending quality time with her family.
