• Describe the current role of Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) in the management of infections, including the impact on patient outcomes, healthcare utilization, and costs.
• Identify appropriate patients for OPAT by evaluating patient, infection, and treatment-related factors that influence the safety and success of home intravenous antimicrobial therapy.
• Evaluate the role of long-acting antimicrobial agents as alternatives to traditional OPAT in appropriately selected patients.
