Visiting Research Scholar Program
The Allergy and Immunology Research Center has a visiting research Scholar program, headed by Dr. Mahboobeh Mahdavinia, MD, PhD. The program provides an excellent opportunity for visiting outside scholars and medical students at other universities to join our research team, work with experienced investigators, and be involved in clinical and translational research.
Cohort 2025 and their achievements:
- Janssen Fang, visiting MS2, with an abstract titled “Peanut Allergy in Early Childhood: Patterns and Comorbidities from the FORWARD Study,” selected for an oral presentation at ACAAI 2025.
- Niki Mirhosseini, visiting MS2, with an abstract titled “Association of Eczema Severity and Duration with Atopic Comorbidities and Food Allergies in Pediatric Patients,” selected for an ePoster presentation at ACAAI 2025.
- Mark Matthews, visiting MS2, submitted an abstract titled “Examining the Natural History of Peanut Allergy Resolution and Its Association with Clinical Predictors in a Multicenter Cohort Study,” to AAAAI 2026.
