Fellowship Program

The newly founded Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston is set to launch in 2025, aiming to create one of the most comprehensive, trainee-oriented, and research-focused fellowships in the field. This innovative program will accept residents from Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residencies, fostering collaboration and cross-disciplinary learning.

The field of Allergy/Immunology is uniquely rewarding as we swiftly translate groundbreaking discoveries into transformative patient care, significantly improving patients’ lives across all age groups.

UTHealth Houston, known for its excellent education and vibrant academic culture, will be pivotal in empowering this newly-founded Allergy and Immunology Fellowship. Comprehensive Training:


The fellowship will provide a rigorous two-year curriculum that exposes fellows to the breadth of allergic and immunologic conditions, including severe asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergies, drug allergy, venom hypersensitivity, eosinophilic diseases, urticaria/angioedema, immunodeficiency, and immune dysregulation. By integrating adult and pediatric care, fellows will develop a holistic understanding of these conditions.


Research Focus:


The program emphasizes research, equipping fellows with the skills needed to contribute to scientific advancements in the field. Our fellows are empowered to contribute meaningfully to their fields through dedicated mentorship from prominent faculty, access to cutting-edge resources, and opportunities to be involved in clinical and translational research.
