Biography

Dr. Tung received a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley and received her medical degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine.  She completed Internal Medicine residency  at the UCLA Medical Center. She completed  Advanced Imaging fellowship in Echocardiography at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center and completed Cardiovascular fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. She was Clinical Instructor at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Evanston, IL from 2005-2006.  She joined UTHealth in 2006 as an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine at the McGovern Medical School, was promoted to Associate Professor in 2011 and was promoted to Professor in 2022. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Adult Congenital Heart disease, Echocardiography and Cardiac Computer Tomography.
