Sections, Programs & Centers
The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at McGovern Medical School is home to a variety of specialized sections, programs, and centers dedicated to advancing patient care, research, and education. Each of these areas brings together expert faculty, innovative clinical services, and cutting-edge research to improve outcomes for patients with digestive and liver diseases.
Our teams lead nationally recognized programs in Crohn’s and Colitis, Esophageal and Swallowing Disorders, Gastroenterology and GI Physiology, Hepatology, and Interventional Gastroenterology. These clinical and academic initiatives are complemented by collaborative centers such as the Gastroenterology Research Center (GRC) and the Center for Interventional Gastroenterology (iGUT), which drive discovery through basic, translational, and clinical research.
Together, these sections, programs, and centers reflect our commitment to providing comprehensive care, training the next generation of gastroenterologists and hepatologists, and advancing scientific knowledge to transform the future of digestive health.
