Precision Circadian Medicine
The circadian “clock” system orchestrates daily (24-hour) rhythms in physiological processes to align with environmental cycles. This intrinsic timing mechanism regulates gene expression, metabolism, and immune function, creating dynamic windows of biological activity. Leveraging these temporal rhythms for therapeutic benefit, referred to as chronotherapy, represents a promising strategy for improving treatment outcomes in cancer.
Our Goal:
- Identify druggable, time-dependent therapeutic targets by integrating transcriptomic data with bioinformatic resources such as DrugBank.
- Focus on candidate genes and pathways involved
- Map them to optimal treatment timing windows toward precision chronomedicine and improved clinical outcomes.
