TIRR Rehabilitation hospital is a 134 bed hospital and outpatient center, treating of a wide a range of disabilities from complex conditions like brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple trauma and amputation, to rehabilitation for conditions including multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, post-polio syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. TIRR has incorporated an AASM accredited 4 bed sleep center focused on the care of patients with a concurrent neurologic disorder. The sleep fellows rotate through the TIRR Sleep laboratory a minimum of 1 month during the fellowship, where they review and interpret sleep studies on adult patients with either a physical or neurologic disability. You also rotate with a Neurology/Epilepsy/Sleep trained specialist in clinic to learn how to manage sleep complaints and diagnosis in this particular patient population.
