Elli Allen, MD

Biography

Dr. Elli Allen is a board-certified neurologist with advanced fellowship training in epilepsy management. She specializes in diagnosing and treating seizures and epilepsy, offering both medical and surgical treatment options, and has particular expertise in critical care EEG.

A proud graduate of Texas Christian University, Dr. Allen earned her degree in neuroscience summa cum laude before completing her medical degree at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She went on to complete her adult neurology residency at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where she served as chief resident and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society. She continued her training at McGovern with a fellowship in epilepsy, serving as chief administrative fellow.

Passionate about medical education, mentorship, and the well-being of trainees, Dr. Allen is committed to supporting the next generation of neurologists. At UTHealth Neurosciences–Neurology, she works closely with adult patients to create individualized treatment plans designed to control seizures and enhance quality of life.
