Biography

Dr. Shirin Jamal Omidi is a neurologist specialized in epilepsy. She completed her neurology residency at UTHealth Houston, where she developed a strong interest in surgical and autoimmune-related epilepsies. She then accomplished fellowship training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Omidi’s research and clinical work focus on surgical epilepsy, intracranial EEG, neuromodulation (including VNS, DBS, and RNS). She has contributed to multiple manuscripts and conference presentations addressing novel EEG biomarkers, autoimmune epilepsy, SUDEP, and neuromodulation.

Dr. Omidi is committed to providing comprehensive, individualized care for patients with epilepsy, integrating advanced diagnostic and therapeutic techniques to improve seizure outcomes and quality of life.
