Dr. Reza Sadeghi is a board-certified neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist. Dr. Sadeghi earned his medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran, followed by a master’s degree in epidemiology at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He joined the University of Toronto Neuromuscular clinic as a Research Fellow, focusing on neuromuscular diseases, particularly Motor Neuron Diseases.
He completed his neurology residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he was chief resident in neurology and a subsequent fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology/Epilepsy at the same institution.
Prior to joining UTHealth Houston Neurosciences, he was responsible for direct patient care in hospitals affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine, including St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital and Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center; Texas Children’s Hospital; and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.\
Dr. Sadeghi has served as principal investigator or co-investigator of numerous clinical trials. He has given national academic presentations and led teaching sessions on endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms, subarachnoid aneurysms, ischemic stroke, anticoagulant therapy and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. His research and academic interests are in epilepsy, epidemiology, medical statistics and systemic reviews. He is a co-author of research published in Drugs and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, among other journals.
Dr. Sadeghi is a member of the American Epilepsy Society, American Academy of Neurology, American College of Physicians, Medical Council of Canada and the Texas Medical Board. He is committed to patient safety, quality outcomes and exceptional patient experiences at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital.

Physicians at UTHealth Houston Neurosciences engage referring physicians in the care of their patients, keeping them informed about patient progress throughout the evaluation and treatment process. After a patient’s treatment, referring physicians receive a summary and a plan for follow-up. Our physicians encourage continued communication about each patient.
