Dr. David Babittt is assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and a neurologist specializing in chronic trauma and sports neurotrauma, with a special interest in traumatic brain injuries and headaches.

He graduated with his Doctor of Medicine in 2018 from Trinity School of Medicine in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean, after receiving his bachelor’s degree in biology, with minors in chemistry and cognitive science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Babitt completed his residency as chief resident at the University of Arizona/Banner – University Medical Center Tucson and his fellowship at the University of Florida at Gainesville’s Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases.

He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is active in the community and enjoys providing quality, compassionate care to each of his patients.

Collaboration with Referring Physicians

Physicians at UTHealth Houston Neurosciences engage referring physicians in the care of their patients, keeping them informed throughout the evaluation and treatment process. After treatment, referring physicians receive a summary and a plan for follow-up. We encourage continued communication about each patient.
