Dr. Hamid Hamdi is board certified in neurology and fellowship trained in neurorehabilitation. In addition to providing general neurology services, he leads the Headache Clinic at UTHealth Houston Neurosciences – Sugar Land. This clinic provides comprehensive care for all types of chronic headaches and migraines.
Dr. Hamdi earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his neurology residency at Nassau County Medical Center, the clinical campus for the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he was chief resident.
He subsequently completed a fellowship in neurorehabilitation at the Hospital for Joint Diseases at New York University School of Medicine in New York City. He joins UTHealth Houston Neurosciences from New York University, where he held a faculty appointment as clinical assistant professor.
