Dr. Kristin Brown is board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Her clinical interests include neuromuscular disorders and general neurology.
Dr. Brown received her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, and completed her neurology residency at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. She completed a fellowship in neurophysiology at the same institution, followed by a fellowship in stroke prevention, also at McGovern Medical School, where she was a National Institutes of Health StrokeNet Fellow.
An assistant professor of neurology at McGovern Medical School, Dr. Brown is a member of UTHealth Neurosciences Neuromuscular Disorders team. Her research is focused on dysphasia and stroke.
Dr. Brown works with adult patients at UTHealth Neurosciences-Neurology and also sees patients at UT Physicians Multispecialty-Sienna.
Collaboration with Referring Physicians
Physicians affiliated with UTHealth Neurosciences engage referring physicians in the care of their patients, keeping them informed about patient progress throughout the evaluation and treatment process. After a patient’s treatment, referring physicians receive a summary and a plan for follow-up. Our physicians encourage continued communication about each patient.
