Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, in partnership with McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, is among the top five Best Children’s Hospitals in Texas, according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings. Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital serves as the primary teaching hospital for the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the medical school.
“This achievement reflects the dedication and clinical excellence of our faculty physicians as well as the strength of our academic partnership with our teaching hospital,” says LaTanya J. Love, MD, dean of McGovern Medical School, H. Wayne Hightower Distinguished Professor in Medical Sciences, and executive vice president of student and university affairs at UTHealth Houston. “Together, we are training the next generation of leaders while delivering world-class pediatric care to the patients and families in our community.”
In addition to the overall rankings, pediatric neurology and neurosurgery ranked 30th among all children’s hospitals.
U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Hospitals rankings evaluate hospitals nationwide to help patients identify facilities that provide exceptional care in complex and high-risk specialties. Rankings are based on objective data, including patient outcomes, survival rates, quality of care, and patient experience, with the greatest weight placed on measurable results.
