Felicia V. Lemoine, MD, is a fetal surgeon and maternal-fetal medicine specialist with the nationally recognized UTHealth Houston Fetal Center, where she serves as an attending physician in the Division of Fetal Intervention. She provides highly specialized care for mothers and babies facing complex fetal conditions, combining advanced fetal surgical techniques with innovative, evidence-based care and a multidisciplinary approach to achieve the best possible outcomes for families.
After completing fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine, Dr. Lemoine pursued additional fellowship training in fetal intervention—one of the most specialized disciplines in obstetric medicine. She completed her fetal intervention fellowship at UTHealth Houston, one of the nation’s leading fetal therapy programs, and now cares for patients with conditions including twin-twin transfusion syndrome, spina bifida, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, congenital lung masses, lower urinary tract obstruction and other rare fetal conditions that may benefit from advanced prenatal intervention.
Dr. Lemoine has established herself as an emerging academic leader in fetal medicine. Her research focuses on advancing fetal therapy through clinical investigation, with interests in fetoscopic surgery, twin complications, fetal surgery outcomes, congenital diaphragmatic hernia and innovative approaches to improving maternal and neonatal outcomes following fetal intervention. Her research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international scientific meetings, where it has advanced the understanding of fetal surgery outcomes, complex fetal conditions and innovative approaches to fetal therapy.
She has contributed invited review articles to leading obstetrics journals and regularly presents her work at meetings including the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and the International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society. Her research has been recognized with multiple honors, including the prestigious Charles Rodeck Award from the International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society, recognizing excellence in fetal medicine research.
As both a clinician and investigator, Dr. Lemoine is committed to advancing the science of fetal therapy while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to families facing complex pregnancies. She is actively involved in mentoring the next generation of maternal-fetal medicine specialists and fetal intervention physicians while contributing to research that is shaping the future of fetal diagnosis and fetal intervention.
