Lindsey Longerot, MD, FACOG, MSCP, is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at UTHealth Houston. She is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist and a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner with more than a decade of experience providing compassionate, comprehensive care for women throughout every stage of life. Dr. Longerot is committed to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health.
Dr. Longerot provides a full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic care, including preventive wellness visits, pregnancy care, contraception, management of menstrual disorders, menopause care, and treatment for a wide range of gynecologic conditions. As a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, she has specialized expertise in helping women navigate the physical and emotional changes associated with perimenopause and menopause through personalized, evidence-based treatment plans designed to improve long-term health and quality of life.
Known for her thoughtful and collaborative approach, Dr. Longerot believes every woman deserves individualized care that reflects her unique health goals, lifestyle, and stage of life. She takes the time to listen to her patients, answer questions, and partner with them to develop care plans that support their overall well-being.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Longerot is committed to advancing women’s health through clinical excellence, quality improvement, and medical education. Throughout her career, she has served on hospital operations, quality assurance, and performance improvement committees focused on enhancing patient safety and the quality of care for women and their families. She has also mentored and educated resident physicians, reflecting her passion for developing the next generation of obstetrician-gynecologists while continually improving the patient experience.
Dr. Longerot earned her medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston after graduating cum laude from The University of Texas at Austin with bachelor’s degrees in biology and Spanish. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
